Job summary

ACMA is seeking an Assistant Manager in the Consumer Division to lead investigations, oversee enforcement actions and support regulatory reform. You will manage a small team, guide investigations, and drive regulatory activities across consumer safeguards.

You will collaborate with compliance, enforcement, policy teams and external stakeholders to improve consumer trust and safety in telecommunications services, with a view toward operational excellence and staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience leading investigations and regulatory actions.
• Ability to develop staff and mentor investigators.
• Strong collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Understanding of consumer safeguards and regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities

• Lead compliance assessments and investigations, prepare notices and reports for senior decision makers.
• Gather and analyse intelligence on consumer harms from diverse sources; engage with regulated entities and consumer groups.
• Contribute to reviewing/regulating instruments and stay informed on policy and technology developments.
• Supervise and mentor investigators, contributing to leadership across the Section and Division.
