Job summary

Beyond Bank in Australia is seeking a Regulatory Assurance Specialist to strengthen its compliance framework by delivering independent assurance reviews and insights supporting risk management and regulatory outcomes. You will collaborate with stakeholders to assess controls, identify improvements, and drive remediation across the business.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement, based in an Australian hub, with 75 hours per fortnight and a salary range of 104,000–117,000 AUD.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years minimum experience in audit, assurance, risk, compliance or consulting environment.
• Knowledge of banking regulations and ability to interpret legislative/regulatory requirements.
• Strong investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience conducting reviews, assessing controls and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Excellent report-writing skills with ability to clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build credibility across the business.
• Experience analysing, interpreting and presenting data to support decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver regulatory assurance reviews across key compliance obligations.
• Assess the effectiveness of business processes, controls and regulatory compliance outcomes.
• Complete independent assurance reviews to meet external regulatory and audit requirements.
• Identify control weaknesses, process gaps and compliance issues, providing practical recommendations for improvement.
• Prepare clear, concise assurance reports and present findings to stakeholders and leaders.
• Monitor and challenge remediation actions to ensure issues are effectively addressed and closed.
• Conduct targeted reviews of high-risk areas and emerging compliance risks.
• Provide coaching, technical guidance and quality review support to enhance team capability and assurance best practice
