About the opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and inquisitive individual to join our Group Risk team as a Regulatory Affairs Analyst. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of managing the bank's relationship with key regulators like APRA, ASIC and other regulatory relationships. You'll operate in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where your work directly informs and influences decisions across the Bank. If you're confident, organised, and thrive on challenge, this is your chance to make a significant impact.

In this role you'll get to …
  • Craft comprehensive and insightful reports for our Board Risk Committee, Executive Risk Committee, and Senior Leadership.
  • Act as a key coordinator for our engagement with regulators, managing everything from supervisory meetings to formal requests for information.
  • Review and quality-assure critical regulatory submissions, ensuring they are robust, accurate, and strategically aligned.
  • Analyse the regulatory environment to identify thematic insights, emerging trends, and potential impacts for the Bank.
  • Engage and build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, from business unit leaders to the Chief Risk Officer.
  • Drive a culture of transparency and accountability in all our external regulatory dialogues.

  • A curious and challenging mindset, with the confidence to question and ensure the integrity of information.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with a proven ability to act fast and meet critical deadlines.
  • Experience in Regulatory, Compliance, Risk or Financial Services.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to engage effectively with everyone from executives to regulators.
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail, with experience in Power BI being a highly regarded bonus.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity, located at our Adelaide, Melbourne or Bendigo Head Office locations.
