Job summary

Medrecruit is seeking a Registrar - Emergency Medicine (ED) for locum coverage in Broken Hill, NSW. The role offers AUD 200 per hour, with travel and accommodation included for the assignment from 3 to 6 October 2026.

Requirements include PGY4+ and current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner. You’ll join a multi-disciplinary team at a 98-bed hospital serving the NSW outback, with a recently upgraded oncology unit nearby.

Located in a classic outback town with heaps of personality, this 98-bed hospital is a major referal centre for the region. It provides a range of inpatient and outpatient services including caner care, gynaecology, mental health and general medical and surgical services.

The recent $30-million upgrades and redevelopments have been completed, with an upgraded oncology unit and ambulatory wing reconfiguration. A Royal Flying Doctors Base is also located nearby.
