NSW Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Shoalhaven Transitional Aged Care Service at Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital. The role is temporary part-time, 20 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $41.23–$57.88 plus 12% super and salary packaging, until 30 June 2028.

The position involves delivering evidence-based nursing care and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote positive health outcomes.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of person centred; evidence- based nursing care that promotes positive health outcomes. The Registered nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

The Registered Nurse will work in therapeutic and professional relationships with individuals, as well as families, groups and communities. The Registered Nurse will assist in the provision of supervision and support for less experienced clinicians and will maintain their professional accountability and development in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia's Standards of Practice.

All staff are expected to act as an appropriate and effective role model and promote culture and supporting practices that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment through demonstrated behaviours and interactions with patients, clients and employees.

Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital is the main referral hospital for the Shoalhaven region, providing emergency care, medical, surgical, mental health and orthopaedic services. The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit focusing on ventilated, high dependency and coronary patients, Children’s Ward and Maternity Unit, as well as a purpose-built regional Cancer Care Centre.

The hospital is currently undergoing a significant $440M redevelopment that will redefine how healthcare is delivered within the Region. This is a temporarily funded position until 30 June 2028 with the possibility of an extension subject to funding.
