Job summary

Southern NSW Local Health District invites applications for a Paediatric Registered Nurse at Eurobodalla Regional Hospital. The role supports children and families with compassionate care as the new ERH opens and expands services on the NSW coast.

The RN will work in a growing regional hospital setting, delivering evidence-based, person-centred care within a multidisciplinary team, and providing mentorship to junior staff.

Qualifications

  • Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated competencies in pediatrics nursing within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Effective clinical communication through IT, written and verbal means.
  • Evidence-based practice and critical thinking to advocate for person-centred care.
  • Ability to supervise, delegate and negotiate to deliver quality nursing care.
  • Recent clinical experience with ongoing professional development and competence.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload with integrity and accountability.

Where you'll be working

The Eurobodalla Regional Hospital (ERH) is a new hospital currently under construction on the stunning Southern NSW coast, set to open in 2027 bringing state-of-the-art facilities and expanded services to the region.

Located in south-east Moruya, under four hours drive from Sydney and only two hours from Canberra. ERH will be larger than both the current Batemans Bay and Moruya hospitals combined. Designed with future growth in mind, ERH has the capacity to expand as the needs of the community evolve.

What You'll Be Doing

The Registered Nurse using best practice evidence delivers person-centered nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team. Provides supervision and support for less experienced clinicians to achieve people focused quality care.

Selection Criteria
  • Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated competencies in and knowledge of the complexities and challenges involved in providing nursing care in the context of a multidisciplinary team as well as previous experience working in Pediatrics Nursing.
  • Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology, written and verbal means and sound interpersonal skills with the capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner.
  • Demonstrated application of evidence based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualised person-centred care with a commitment to quality improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality nursing care with a willingness to show leadership and embrace change in the coordination and delivery of care
  • Recent clinical experience relevant to the position including evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills,
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise workload and deliver care with integrity and accountability.
