Job summary

IHR Group is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join the PACU Recovery Team in Sydney on a permanent part‑time basis. You will deliver safe nursing care, supervise ENs and AINs, and support patients through recovery and rehabilitation.

The role involves leading quality improvement initiatives, collaborating with the broader health care team, and modelling safe practice to ensure high standards of patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current APHRA registration and authority to work in Australia.
• Working with Children Check completed.
• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent; postgraduate perioperative nursing desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, research-based nursing care to patients in PACU Recovery.

Excellent opportunities exist for experienced Registered Nurses to join the PACU Recovery Team on a permanent part-time basis at the facility located in Sydney.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Delivering safe, research-based standards of nursing care;
• Supervising, directing and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
• Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation orend-of-lifeneeds;
• Leading successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes;
• Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
• Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current registration with APHRA;
• Authority to Work in Australia;
• Working with Children check;
• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
• Post Graduate Certificate or working towards in Perioperative Nursing (Desirable);
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
• Clinicalexpertiseand commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
• Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused.

REMUNERATION

$40.26 - $56.54 per hour.

ABOUT THE FACILITY

The hospital, located in Southern Sydney, has 168 overnight beds and specialises in cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, endovascular surgery, interventional neuroradiology, general surgery, general medicine, liver surgery, orthopaedics, maternity and paediatrics. The hospital also has dedicated Day Surgery, a Coronary Care Unit and an Intensive Care Unit.
