Job summary

North Lakes Day Hospital, part of Nexus Hospitals Group, seeks a Recovery/PACU Registered Nurse for a part-time role (minimum 32 hours per fortnight). Monday to Friday roster with no weekends, no public holidays, no overnights, and no on-call.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in Recovery/PACU nursing within a surgical hospital setting.
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with patients, doctors, colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Strong time management, organisational, leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based care: monitor patient wellbeing and provide high-quality treatment tailored to each stage of their hospital stay.
• Prepare for safe surgery: ensure facility, equipment and environment support safe, efficient care.
• Prioritise and monitor patient safety: maintain clear team communication, assess progress, respond to changes, keep safety central.
• Support recovery at home: provide education, guidance and reassurance for post-discharge recovery.

About the role:

We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic experienced Recovery/ PACU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis minimum 32hrs a fortnight. Monday to Friday flexible roster -no weekends, no public holidays, no overnights and no on-call.

North Lakes Day Hospital is located in the growing region of Moreton Bay North of Brisbane and has 3 state-of-the-art Operating Theatres, 4 specialist consulting suites and over 20 specialists operating across our diverse range of specialties.

We have a broad case mix that includes Ophthalmology, ENT, Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Minor Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Champion improvement: Promote continuous improvement, safety and excellence across all areas of the hospital.
