Job summary

Opal HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for night duty across SA care communities in Gawler and Joslin areas. Permanent part-time positions with tests of leadership and resident care responsibilities.

The role offers night shifts, a base rate of $40.10–$51.76 per hour (DOE), plus weekend/public holiday penalties and 12% superannuation. Join a supportive team and grow through Opal Healthcare Academy programs.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA.
• Experience in residential aged care, especially night duty, is preferred.
• Ability to provide calm clinical leadership during night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred clinical care to residents overnight.
• Monitor residents' health and respond promptly to changes in condition or emergencies.
• Administer medications in line with policies and clinical standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain residents' comfort, privacy, dignity and independence.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to care staff on shift.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control, workplace health and safety, and quality standards.
• Participate in clinical handovers to ensure continuity of care between shifts.
• Liaise effectively with medical practitioners, allied health professionals, families, and external providers as required.
