Job summary

East Bridge Recruitment is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to work across aged care facilities in the Newcastle and Hunter Region, NSW. We offer flexible casual shifts for nurses who are passionate about providing high-quality resident care.

Applicants must hold current AHPRA registration, have aged care experience, and clear National Police and NDIS checks where applicable. Vaccinations up-to-date, with strong communication and documentation skills and a compassionate, reliable approach

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Previous aged care nursing experience preferred.
• Current National Police Check.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check, where applicable.
• Up-to-date vaccinations and relevant compliance documents.
• Strong communication, clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• A compassionate, reliable and professional approach to resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans and clinical guidelines.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Monitor residents’ health, assess clinical needs and report changes in condition.
• Complete clinical documentation, progress notes and incident reports.
• Lead and support care staff, including AINs and ENs, where required.
• Liaise with residents, families, GPs and other healthcare professionals.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and maintain infection prevention and control standards.
• Ensure compliance with aged care standards, workplace policies and professional nursing requirements.

Pay Rate: $65–$75 per hour, depending on experience
