Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct care in the Gladstone Hospital High Dependency Unit, supported by a Clinical Nurse.
You will deliver safe, evidence-based care, perform comprehensive assessments, and contribute to quality improvement and education within an interdisciplinary team.
Gladstone Hospital's four-bed High Dependency Unit (HDU) provides care for acutely unwell patients who require a higher level of monitoring and support before returning to a general ward or transferring to a tertiary hospital. Gladstone Hospital provides cardiac and haemodynamic monitoring, inotropic support and invasive/non-invasive ventilation, as well as cardiac telemetry monitoring for patients across the medical and surgical wards. The service also supports specialised outpatient testing, including cardiac stress tests, spirometry and pacemaker clinics. It's a service combining high-acuity care, cardiac monitoring and specialised outpatient services within Gladstone Hospital.
