An exciting opportunity has come available to join ARRCS as a Registered Nurse.

This role is being recruited for our Hetti Perkins Home for the Aged facility, located in Alice Springs, NT.

This position is being offered on a maximum term, full-time basis.

This role is available from December

  • through to end April
  • (with possible extension).

In addition, ARRCS offers an attractive remuneration package including salary packaging and flexible working conditions.

As an ARRCS Registered Nurse, you will provide clinical care to our residents within our facility.

You will work across a rotating fortnightly roster which includes both day and night shifts and provide clinical and team leadership, supervision and support for less experienced clinicians and support workers to achieve people focused quality care in accordance with the ARRCS mission.

This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys working and supporting aged care in remote locations.

You will have a firm yet caring nature and be a hands‑on person who is always willing to jump in and support the team when required.

You will be able to demonstrate previous experience as a skilled Registered Nurse with preference to geriatric or aged care environment.

Remuneration and benefits of working with ARRCS

ARRCS are offering an exclusive package for this role to join our team in Alice Springs. Below is what our package includes:

  • Penalty driven hourly rate of an Aged Care Registered Nurse Level 2 - $
    Gross base + hourly $50K bonus
  • $50,000 PA salary bonus for your first 2 years of employment.
  • Applicants must demonstrate a minimum of 2 years working as a Registered Nurse within Australia and preferably within Aged Care to qualify for the bonus.

  • Access to a skilled and resourced in‑house Clinical Education team to support you not only on Aged Care legislation, but to continue to work with you with personal, clinical and professional development.

  • Relocation support of up to $5,000 available on review.
Skills & experience

To be considered for this role, we will be looking at the following experience and qualifications:

  • Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Bachelor of Nursing or similar qualification.
  • Full working rights to work in Australia – This package is not offered on a sponsorship basis.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Registered Nurse (in addition to graduate placements) – With preference within a geriatric or aged care environment however, not essential.
  • Knowledge of contemporary nursing practices.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary and multi‑cultural care team.
  • Experienced in effective interpersonal and written communication skills, including intermediate computer skills.
  • Ability to meet and obtain mandatory compliance requirements.
