Job summary

Grand Cedar is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team on a casual basis in Melbourne. You will lead clinical care for residents, work with families and a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred services in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Residential aged care experience is highly desirable.
• Strong clinical assessment and medication management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong clinical documentation and organisational skills.
• Compassionate, respectful and person-centred approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Strong commitment to resident safety, quality care and clinical governance.
• Flexibility to work casual shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Providing safe, high-quality and person-centred nursing care.
• Completing comprehensive clinical assessments and developing individualised care plans.
• Administering medications safely and accurately in accordance with legislation, policies and clinical guidelines.
• Completing clinical procedures including wound care, pressure injury management and blood glucose monitoring.
• Monitoring residents and recognising changes in health and wellbeing.
• Responding to clinical incidents and emergency situations.
• Providing clinical leadership, guidance and support to Personal Care Workers.
• Communicating with GPs and other health professionals to coordinate care.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and resident records.
• Ensuring compliance with AHPRA standards and workplace safety requirements.
