Job summary

Verus People is seeking experienced nurses for rural MPS assignments across Broken Hill and surrounding locations in NSW. These 6-12 week contracts offer ASAP or upcoming starts with flights and accommodation provided.

As an RN, you will triage, manage emergencies, and take charge of hospital operations, with occasional aged care duties as needed. Travel incentives include completion bonuses for 12-week contracts.

Qualifications

• Active AHPRA registration is required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience.
• Current triage certification.
• ALS 1 and/or 2 certification.
• Experience and confidence working in charge of a hospital.
• Willingness to work across Emergency and Aged Care environments.

Responsibilities

• Triage of patients and management of emergency presentations.

Contracts are available with a mixture of ASAP and upcoming starts, with opportunities extending into early 2027. Contracts are generally 6-12 weeks in length.

FWNSW cover flights from all major airports in both Australia and New Zealand.

About the Roles

We're looking for experienced nurses who are confident working autonomously within rural MPS environments. These positions require nurses who are comfortable triaging patients, managing emergency presentations and working in charge of the hospital.

As an RN within an MPS, you will also be required to work across aged care, depending on the needs of the facility.

To be considered, you must have:

• Current AHPRA registration
• Minimum 2 years' recent Emergency Department experience
• Current triage certification and confidence triaging patients
• Current ALS 1 and or 2 certification
• Experience and confidence working in charge of a hospital
• Strong emergency assessment and clinical decision‑making skills
• Confidence working autonomously within a rural MPS environment
• Willingness and ability to work across Emergency and Aged Care
