Cabrini Health Limited is seeking a compassionate Palliative Community Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in patients' homes in Malvern. The role involves symptom management, end-of-life care, and supporting families within Cabrini’s integrated palliative model.

The position is part-time (0.8 FTE) on a fixed-term 12-month contract, based in Malvern, with opportunities for professional development and a supportive interdisciplinary team.

Qualifikationen

• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Current Police Check.
• Current Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
• Experience in palliative care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.

Cabrini Palliative Homecare is an integral part of the Cabrini Palliative and Supportive Care Service and provides a 24-hour service to support patients in the community.

What the role involves

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Palliative Community Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in the home setting.

In this role, you will:

• Provide comprehensive and ongoing assessment and guidance to manage symptoms experienced by patients with a life-threatening illness in their homes
• Deliver expert symptom management and end-of-life care in patients’ preferred location (where appropriate)
• Support patients, families, and communities across diverse ages and cultural groups
• Use evidence-based nursing knowledge and clinical skills to guide care
• Practice interdependently, taking accountability for your own actions and delegating to enrolled nurses and health care workers in line with legislation and Cabrini protocols
• Work autonomously while being supported within an interdisciplinary team
• Ensure all care is delivered within the framework of Cabrini’s Mission, Vision, and Values

What we're looking for

• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Current Police Check & Victorian Working with Children Check
• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
• Experience in palliative care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team

Desirable (not essential):

• Postgraduate qualification in Palliative Care or Oncology
• Previous community nursing experience
