Job summary

ForHealth Group in Newcastle-Maitland is seeking a Permanent Part Time Practice Nurse to join their Charlestown practice. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with an experienced team of Nurses and General Practitioners to provide high quality care for patients.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registered Enrolled or Registered Nurse.
• Proven prior experience in General Practice or an acute setting.
• Knowledge of Health Assessment is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Perform health assessments.
• Administer vaccines.
• Monitor post vaccination observations.
• Triage patients and prioritise emergency situations.
• Assist GP with minor procedures.
• Manage patient clinical data.
• Perform wound dressings and removal of sutures.
• Provide health education and coaching to support patients.

Tasks

• Performing health assessments
• Administering vaccines
• Post vaccination observations and monitoring
• Triaging patients and prioritisation of emergency situations
• Assisting GP with minor procedures
• Coordination, management, and maintenance of patient clinical data
• Wound dressings and removal of sutures
• Health education and coaching to support patients with achievement of their goals

Successful Candidate

• AHPRA registered Enrolled or Registered Nurse
• Proven prior experience in General Practice or an acute setting
• Knowledge of Health Assessment is highly regarded
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills
