Job summary

The Sutherland Hospital in Caringbah, Sydney, is seeking a Casual Registered Nurse to join SESLHD with responsibilities to coordinate and deliver high-quality nursing care across inpatient and community services. Applicants must hold current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia and be prepared to work in a fast-paced acute setting.

Applicants should have a NSW Driver's Licence and be willing to travel to community or Hospital in the Home settings as required.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted registration as a Registered/ Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers, other care providers, hospital clinicians, immediate team members and other stakeholders.
• Supports working in a person centred environment.
• Current NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to utilise as required for the position – including this criteria allows for applicants to work in the community or HITH. If a candidate does not have a licence then they will just work in the inpatient space.

Selection Criteria

• Current unrestricted registration as a Registered/ Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers, other care providers, hospital clinicians, immediate team members and other stakeholders.
• Supports working in a person centred environment.
• Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
• 1982 hours (equivalent to one year full time) or more post registration experience in an acute care setting.
• Current NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to utilise as required for the position – including this criteria allows for applicants to work in the community or HITH. If a candidate does not have a licence then they will just work in the inpatient space.
