Job summary

SA Health is seeking an Enrolled Nurse or RN with broad aged care experience to plan, implement and coordinate patient-centered service delivery. The role involves health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve health outcomes for individuals or groups.

You will support and guide newer staff, including Enrolled Nurses, student nurses and other workers, while developing capability through ongoing professional development within the Limestone Coast Local Health Network.

Qualifications

• Registered or eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse/Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Demonstrated effective communication, problem solving, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and coordinate appropriate service delivery for individuals.
• Provide health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve health outcomes.
• Support and guide newer or less experienced staff, including Enrolled Nurses and students.

Job description

Assessing each individual’s needs, you will plan, implement and coordinate appropriate service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• You will also provide health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve the health outcomes of individual patients or groups.
• It is expected that you will provide support and guidance to newer or less experienced staff, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses and other workers providing aged care.
• Consolidating your knowledge and skills, you will develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the aged care team.

What you need

• You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse/Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate.
• With prior experience in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice, you will have effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
