Job summary

South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Community Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care at Bowral Community Health Centre. You will contribute across acute, chronic and community settings, including Hospital in the Home, wound care, catheter and drain management, and palliative care, working autonomously within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical care across catheter and drain management, acute, chronic and surgical wound care, HITH and palliative care.

Employment Type: Temporary Part Time, 32 hours per week until Jul 2027 . Temporary roles are available to visa holders, with contracts issued in accordance with visa conditions. Visa holders will be considered where no suitable Australian citizen or permanent resident is identified.

Remuneration: Registered Nurse: $41.22 - $57.88 per hour+ 12% Superannuation + Salary Packaging

Selection Criteria

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Critically assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team that is evidenced based and culturally appropriate to achieve quality patient/outcomes.
  • Effectively communicate in a person centred manner with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to ensure the provision of safe, compassionate, quality care.
  • Take responsibility and accountability for clinical practice, critical reflection, professional development and performance review. Act in accordance with the NSW Health Code of Conduct and model the behaviours outlined in the Transforming Your Experience and Leadership Strategies.
  • Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
