Job summary

The Tasmanian Department of Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Campbell Town Health and Community Services team. You will work across the emergency department and sub-acute in-patient ward and aged care, delivering high-quality patient care in line with NSQHS and aged care standards.

You should be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, bring emergency experience including triage and cannulation, and show willingness to learn and contribute to a positive

  • Experience in emergency care including triage and cannulation.

Campbell Town Health and Community Services:

Multipurpose facility with 24-hour emergency care, 6 sub-acute beds, 20 residential beds, Community Nursing, palliative care, same day infusion clinic.

The Role

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in both the emergency department and sub-acute in-patient ward and aged care to provide high quality patient care to a variety of patients with varying medical requirements in line with NSQHS and AGED CARE standards.

It would be preferable that the successful applicant has:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Previous emergency experience including triage and cannulation competency.
  • Willingness to learn new skills, take on challenges and help foster a positive work culture.

Details of appointment

Fixed term part time, shift worker position, worki ng 24 ho urs per fortnight, 14 September 2026 until 25 February 2027.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

$80,524 to $109,175 per annum (Pro rata) . Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
Salary Packaging

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. (delete if no access)
