Job summary

Doctors and Co. is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Yamanto Doctors to join a patient-focused team in Queensland, Australia.

The RN will collaborate with physicians to provide comprehensive care, take vitals, discuss symptoms, document health history, administer medications and support at-home management of health issues. The ideal candidate has extensive clinical knowledge of illnesses and injuries, strong communication skills and a compassionate, professional approach.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration and eligibility to practise in Australia.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Experience with care plans and health assessments is desirable.
• Proven multitasking, problem solving and time management abilities.
• Ability to document accurately and maintain clinical records.
• Infection control practices and patient safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population.
• Take vitals, assess symptoms, document medical history and administer medications.
• Explain procedures and provide patient education for home care.
• Assist doctors with clinical procedures and telehealth consultations as needed.
• Coordinate treatment room activities, stock control, sterilisation and instrument care.
• Contribute to care plans, health summaries and clinical documentation.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing healthcare team at Yamanto Doctors. You will collaborate with physicians and other staff to provide the most comprehensive care possible to our patients. With each patient, you will take vital signs, discuss their symptoms, document their health history, administer medications, and provide resources and information on how to manage their medical issues at home. Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of a variety of illnesses and injuries as well as a compassionate and hard-working attitude.

The chosen candidate will provide quality care to a diverse mix of patients through:

• Immunisations and other injections,
• Triage
• Wound management,
• Chronic disease management,
• ECGs
• Explain procedures to patients, providing them with support and reassurance.
• Assisting with care plans and shared health summaries
• Assisting with telehealth consultations.
• Assist doctors with clinical procedures and maintain clinical documentation.
• Daily co-ordination of the treatment room: stock control, sterilization, general maintenance and care of medical instruments, and equipment
• Implementing and practicing infection control
• Assist with Reception and Practice Management duties.
