Job summary

Sonic HealthPlus is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join the Sydney CBD Clinic on a full-time basis. You will deliver high-quality occupational health services, working autonomously within a fast-paced environment to support workplace health, safety and wellbeing.

Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will contribute to patient care, vaccination programs and health assessments while upholding infection prevention and confidential record-keeping standards.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Ability to work autonomously with high clinical competence.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
• Current CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality occupational health nursing services with a high level of clinical autonomy.
• Conduct assessments and triage.
• Administer vaccinations, including workplace immunisation programs, and provide travel health consultations.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Assist with health assessments, medicals, and occupational health screening.
• Monitor, order, and maintain clinical stock and supplies.
• Clean and maintain clinical equipment in accordance with infection prevention and control standards.
• Ensure compliance with Department of Health and Human Services protocols and relevant legislation.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records.
• Support workplace health promotion and preventative health initiatives.
• Undertake general administrative duties as required to support the efficient operation of the clinic.

About the Role

We're seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at our Sydney CBD Clinic on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys working autonomously in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional client care.

Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, you will deliver a high standard of occupational health services to our clients while supporting workplace health, safety, and wellbeing.

While previous occupational health experience will be highly regarded, it is not essential-we are committed to providing training and support for the right candidate who is eager to learn and develop their skills in this rewarding specialty.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

About You

The successful candidate will be a confident and organised Registered Nurse who is passionate about occupational health and committed to providing outstanding client care.

Essential Requirements

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with a high level of clinical competence.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Strong commitment to person-centred care, confidentiality, and quality improvement.

Desirable

• Certificate or demonstrated experience in phlebotomy and/or immunisation.
• Experience in occupational health, general practice, or workplace health services.
• Experience conducting health assessments and workplace medicals.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety principles and occupational health practices.
