Your Application Should Include
  • A current and detailed CV outlining your relevant nursing experience
  • A maximum 200-word statement outlining your suitability for inclusion in the Registered Nurse recruitment pool, including:
    • your motivation for working in country WA
    • any skills, experience or attributes relevant to rural and regional healthcare settings
    • your preferred location (if applicable) WA Country Health Service - Google My Maps
  • The names and contact details of two (2) professional referees, preferable at least one being a current or recent supervisor
International Nurses

Applications are welcome from internationally qualified nurses. Subject to registration, visa eligibility and service requirements, visa sponsorship may be considered for suitably experienced applicants with a t least 10 years of specialty nursing experience in Emergency Department, Mental Health or Dialysis settings.

AHPRA Registration

To be considered for this pool, applicants must be eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Applicants are encouraged to review the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia website for information on qualification and registration requirements.

Important Information To Note
  • This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent, Fixed Term, and Casual appointments at various hours, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
  • Applications will be assessed on a regular basis throughout the life of the pool.
  • Applications will undergo an initial assessment of qualifications, registration, experience and suitability for inclusion in the recruitment pool.
  • Applicants assessed as suitable will be placed in a recruitment pool for current and future vacancies. Inclusion in the pool does not guarantee an offer of employment.
  • When vacancies arise, further assessment may be undertaken to determine suitability for appointment, which may include interview, referee reports and/or other assessment methods.
  • Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/01/2027.

Applicants who commence employment at one of the endorsed sites before 1 August 2027 may be eligible for the Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program (2.0), subject to meeting the program's eligibility requirements. Eligible nurses and midwives employed on a fixed-term or permanent contract may receive between $5,000 and $17,000 paid over 12 months. Please refer to the WA Country Health Service - Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program website for eligibility criteria.
