Job summary

Blackwater Multipurpose Health Service, part of the Queensland Government, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide care across Emergency, Acute, and Residential Aged Care. You will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care, respond to diverse clinical presentations and work with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NMBA registration in Australia.
• Postgraduate experience in Emergency or Perioperative Services is advantageous.
• Rural and remote emergency care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care.
• Respond to a diverse range of clinical presentations.
• Work closely with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety.

About us:Blackwater Multipurpose Health Service is a busy 16-bed rural facility providing acute inpatient, emergency, residential aged care, outpatient, pharmacy and urgent radiology services. You'll work with a close-knit team caring for people across the Blackwater community, with visiting allied health and a range of community health services also available.Living and working rurally offers the chance to broaden your skills, enjoy greater variety and make a genuine difference in the community you care for.About the role:As a Registered Nurse, no two shifts will necessarily look the same. You'll provide safe, person-centred care across Emergency, Acute and Residential Aged Care, giving you the opportunity to build a broad range of clinical skills and experience.You will:assess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing carerespond to a diverse range of clinical presentationswork closely with patients, families and the multidisciplinary teamcontribute to quality improvement and patient safetysupport and guide colleagues while continuing to develop your own clinical practice.Permanent and temporary, full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with hours negotiable.
