Job summary

Mittagong Doctors invites an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our friendly team on a casual part-time basis. You will work alongside physicians and staff to deliver comprehensive primary care, including immunisations, triage, wound care and chronic disease management.

The ideal candidate holds current AHPRA registration, excellent communication, a collaborative approach, and the ability to multitask in a busy General Practice.

• Assist doctors with clinical procedures and maintain clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Immunisations and other injections.
• Triage
• Wound management
• Chronic disease management
• ECGs
• Explain procedures to patients, providing them with support and reassurance.
• Assisting with care plans and shared health summaries
• Assisting with telehealth consultations.
• Assist doctors with clinical procedures and maintain clinical documentation.
• Daily co-ordination of the treatment room: stock control, sterilization, general maintenance and care of medical instruments, and equipment
• Implementing and practicing infection control
• Assist with Reception and Practice Management duties.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing healthcare team at Mittagong Doctors. You will collaborate with physicians and other staff to provide the most comprehensive care possible to our patients. With each patient, you will take vital signs, discuss their symptoms, document their health history, administer medications, and provide resources and information on how to manage their medical issues at home. Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of a variety of illnesses and injuries as well as a compassionate and hard-working attitude.
