Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland seeks a Registered Nurse for BlueCare Community Care in Dalby and surrounding areas. You will deliver person-centred community nursing, assess and plan care, and create care plans while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates hold unrestricted AHPRA registration, possess post-registration nursing experience, and can manage time efficiently for frequent field visits. A current driver’s license and insured vehicle are essential to join our team.

Qualifications

  • General nursing registration with AHPRA (unrestricted) is essential.
  • Post-registration nursing experience in community settings preferred.
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) is essential.
  • Vehicle appropriate for road-based community visits and insured.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred community care to clients and create/update care plans.
  • Assess, plan and implement client care within scope and reflect evolving needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure quality standards.
  • Manage time effectively to complete scheduled community visits on the road.
  • Maintain safety and clinical governance in home care settings.

  • Employment Status: Permanent Part Time
  • Location: Dalby & Surrounding Areas
  • Remuneration: $45.29 – $57.06 per hour + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances Classification: QRN1.1 – QRN1.7 determined by demonstrated clinical hours and experience

About The Role

As a Registered Nurse you will provide person-centred care to your clients in the community, ensuring a safe environment and applying your clinical skills to improving their quality of life through activities that include:

  • Assess, plan and implement client care within your scope
  • Consider physical, social and psychological requirements
  • Create and update care plans to reflect developing needs
  • Ensure clinical quality compliance standards are met
  • Work collaboratively with other multi-disciplinary team members

With no two days ever the same. You’ll spend the majority of your day on the road, completing your scheduled community visits.

Role Requirements
  • Full, unrestricted AHPRA registration and unlimited work entitlements - Essential
  • General nursing experience, post-registration
  • Excellent communication and clinical problem-solving skills
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential
  • Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential
  • Confidence in managing your time effectively, including an ability to work autonomously.
  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
