About the Opportunity

Campbelltown Hospital is seeking a temporary full-time Registered Midwife to join our TEAM model of care. This continuity of care model involves working within a supportive team to manage a caseload of 30–35 women per month through antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care in the home.

You’ll work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary Women’s Health team, providing care to women of moderate risk across the antenatal clinic, birthing unit, and Midwifery Support Program (MSP). A rotating roster ensures variety and flexibility while delivering safe, compassionate, and culturally appropriate care.

In this role, you will critically assess, plan, implement, and evaluate midwifery care to achieve quality outcomes, while taking accountability for your clinical practice and professional development. You’ll communicate effectively with women, families, and colleagues, actively support and teach others, and uphold the highest standards of midwifery practice in line with legislation, codes of conduct, and NSW Health values.

What You'll be Doing

The midwife is a responsible and accountable professional who works in partnership with women to give the necessary support, care and advice during pregnancy, labour and the postpartum period, to conduct births on the midwife's own responsibility and to provide care for the newborn and the infant.

This position may entail rotating through various clinical areas such as: Birthing Unit, Post/Antenatal Ward, Special Care Nursery and Antenatal Clinic.

All staff are expected to act as an appropriate and effective role model, promoting a culture that supports practices that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment through demonstrated behaviors and interactions with patients, clients and employees.
