Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking Registered Midwives to support excellence in midwifery care across birth suite and maternity wards. You will provide direct midwifery care, optimise the perinatal journey for women and families, and enable woman-centred care in line with NMBA standards.

The role involves working in birth suite or maternity/gynaecology ward, with rotating between areas, delivering evidence-based midwifery services and maintaining professional practice standards.

Qualifications

• Contemporary midwifery knowledge in antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care.
• Deliver competent midwifery care in complex situations.
• Communicate professionally with healthcare teams, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct midwifery care in birth suite or maternity/gynaecology ward.
• Support optimal perinatal journey and woman-centred care.
