  • Northern Adelaide Local Health Network – Lyell McEwin Hospital – Elizabeth Vale
  • Salary: $74,831 – $102,103 per annum (RN1) / $87,416 – $110,497 per annum (RN2C), pro‑rate, plus Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice benefits
  • Ongoing and Temporary – up to 4 December 2026 (Multiple positions available)
  • Part‑Time – up to 32 hours per week

About the Role

Our Special Care Nursery provides specialised care for newborns requiring additional medical support, working alongside families during critical early moments of life.

You will:

  • Deliver high‑quality nursing care to neonates in the special care environment
  • Support and guide families through critical stages with education, empathy and respectful communication
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including paediatricians, midwives and allied health professionals
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Our Clinical Nurse/Midwife (RN2C) positions offer the perfect blend of advanced clinical practice and leadership development. You’ll mentor junior staff while taking on specialised portfolio responsibilities tailored to your career aspirations. For Registered Nurses/Midwives (RN1) you will develop from novice to proficient practitioner in a supportive environment focused on your professional growth.

About You

To ensure your success in this role you will have:

  • A passion for neonatal care and family‑centred practice
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills which enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations while building and maintaining relationships
  • An ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrate resilience within a stressful and complex environment
  • Experience in neonatal or paediatric nursing highly regarded

To be eligible for this position you must have current registration, or be eligible for registration, as a Nurse and/or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold (or be eligible to hold) a current practising certificate.
