Job summary

NSW Health is seeking an experienced Sonographer to Griffith Base Hospital to deliver high-quality medical imaging services across obstetrics, vascular, MSK and interventional procedures. You will work within a 24/7 roster, support training of junior staff, and ensure RIS/PACS reporting standards are met while maintaining ASAR accreditation.

The temporary full-time role offers pro rata remuneration with superannuation, leave loading where applicable, and opportunities to contribute to regional

Qualifications

• Hold current ASAR accreditation.
• Experience performing independent sonographic examinations across obstetrics, gynaecology, vascular, MSK, paediatrics and interventional procedures.
• Hold NSW Class C Driver's Licence and willingness to travel to peripheral hospitals and participate in on-call rosters.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of medical imaging and sonographic examinations across obstetrics, gynaecology, vascular, MSK, paediatrics and interventional procedures.
• Provide and manage a safe environment, participate in 24/7 roster and on-call arrangements.
• Prioritise and manage workload across inpatients and outpatients for timely care delivery.
• Maintain accurate documentation in RIS/PACS per business rules.
• Support training, supervision and assessment of undergraduates and new graduates.
• Maintain ASAR accreditation and engage in continuing professional development.
