Job summary

NSW Department of Education seeks a School Counsellor for Moree Public School to support student learning and wellbeing through counselling and psychological assessment. Based at Moree Public School, the role offers collaboration across primary and high school ages within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will be registered/provisionally registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and will have access to ongoing professional supervision, supervision, and NSW

Qualifications

• Experience in counselling using evidence-based interventions for children and young people.
• Experience in psychological assessment of children and young people, including case formulation and report writing.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling and psychological assessment of students to supplement teaching.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and external agencies to support student wellbeing.
• Engage in supervision and professional development within a multidisciplinary team.
