Job summary

News Corp Australia is recruiting multiple reporters to be based in Gippsland, Morwell, Traralgon or Moe. You will drive ideas for engaging content, advocate for regional Australia, and develop stories across crime, court, local government, development, education, sports and business for your community.

You will lead digital storytelling, employ social media to grow subscriptions, and use data analytics to monitor performance and adapt coverage to audience trends.

Qualifications

• Experience in writing and newsroom environments.
• Willingness to live in regional Victoria.
• Excellent spelling and grammar.
• Strong interviewing and local community network preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop stories across crime, courts, local gov, development, education, human interest, sport and business.
• Lead digital content through story development using video, interactives and graphics; use social media to drive engagement.
• Use data analytics to spot trends and tailor coverage to the audience.
• Build genuine connections across the community and support subscription growth.
