Job summary

JPS Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Paediatrician for a public hospital in a major regional NSW centre. The role covers infants to adolescents across inpatient, emergency, and outpatient settings.

The unit provides 24-hour paediatric medical and nursing coverage, with a broad range of general and acute presentations. A supportive multidisciplinary environment and opportunities in governance and teaching are offered.

Qualifications

• Specialist registration with AHPRA or eligibility via RACP Specialist Pathway.
• Experience providing paediatric care across inpatient, emergency and outpatient settings.
• Candidates may be from international training pursuing Australian specialist recognition.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist-level general paediatric care.
• Manage acute and complex paediatric presentations.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient services.
• Support assessment and stabilisation of acutely unwell children.
• Collaborate with Emergency Medicine, Maternity, Anaesthetics and other teams.
• Supervise and support junior medical staff.
• Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and education.
• Liaise with tertiary paediatric services for escalation or transfer.
