Job summary

Konnecting Recruitment partnered with a well-established medical practice in Rockhampton, Queensland, seeking experienced General Practitioners to join its clinical team on a full-time or part-time basis.

The practice offers modern facilities, an established patient base, dedicated nursing support and a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, with opportunities to build a long-term GP career in regional Queensland.

Qualifications

• Current or eligible for AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner.
• FRACGP or FACRRM preferred, or appropriate eligibility/pathway.
• Strong general practice and primary healthcare clinical skills.
• Commitment to patient-centred, evidence-based care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary healthcare to patients across all age groups.
• Conduct clinical assessments, history-taking, diagnosis, treatment and appropriate referrals.
• Manage acute and chronic health conditions in accordance with current clinical guidelines.
• Provide preventative healthcare, health assessments, vaccinations and immunisations.
• Order and interpret appropriate pathology, imaging and other diagnostic investigations.
• Develop treatment and chronic disease management plans and coordinate ongoing patient care.
• Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, specialists and allied health professionals.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records using practice medical software.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control and quality clinical care.
• Participate in the practice's rotating after-hours/on-call arrangements where required.
