Job summary

Emergency Medical Care Inc. (EMC), a subsidiary of Medavie Health Services, seeks a Regional Manager to lead staff and systems in the Nova Scotia ambulance service region.

You will direct operations, drive performance, and ensure service levels meet or exceed expectations across emergency and non-emergency calls. The role requires extensive paramedic experience, strong supervisory credentials, and knowledge of EMS management, information systems, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience working as a paramedic.
• Five years or more in a progressively responsible supervisor position.
• Approved paramedic training program and ALS provider at ICP or ACP level will be considered an asset.
• Licensed with CPNS to work in Nova Scotia as a paramedic.
• A valid Nova Scotia Motor Vehicle Class 4 driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regional EMS operations and staff development.
• Lead and mentor supervisory staff and paramedics to meet contractual obligations.
• Coordinate performance management and disaster preparedness for the region.
• Ensure compliance with safety, budget, and stakeholder requirements.
• Support recruitment and orientation of paramedic staff and maintain regional relationships.
