Job description
Regional Consumer, Category & Strategy Lead – Palmer’s (Asia Pacific)

Step into a rare and highly strategic marketing and commercial role in Adelaide with Palmer’s, the world’s #1 Cocoa Butter beauty brand. This is more than a typical brand management role – you’ll lead category growth, shape commercial strategy, and drive regional marketing plans across Australia, New Zealand, and South‑East Asia. You’ll combine consumer insight, commercial smarts, and cross‑market leadership to drive multi‑year plans that truly make a difference. This is a role for someone who loves thinking big, acting boldly, and seeing their ideas come to life.

About Us: E.T. Browne Pty. Ltd. is a private, family‑owned company based in New Jersey, USA, and the owner of the Palmer’s brand, with over 185 years of heritage. Palmer’s is globally renowned for its leadership in Cocoa Butter and Stretch Mark care, combining science and nature to deliver proven, affordable solutions trusted by generations of consumers. Our iconic Cocoa Butter Formula range underpins this expertise, supported by Coconut Oil and Shea Butter platforms and a growing portfolio across body care and specialty treatments.

Palmer’s has been available in Australia since 2000, with the Asia Pacific head office located in Adelaide. The region continues to expand across markets and into new formats such as Body Oils, balms and targeted treatments, supported by strong marketing programs and a robust global pipeline that keeps the brand fresh, relevant and growing.

Globally, including Asia Pacific, the company/brand is currently experiencing one of its strongest growth periods of the past decade, and we are investing in our team, capabilities and execution to maximise this momentum and unlock the next phase of growth across the region.

Our culture is collaborative, passionate and values‑driven: Playing to Win – ambitious and results‑driven; Loyalty & Teamwork – we support each other and celebrate success; Customer Experience – consumer‑first mindset in everything we do; Growth & Excellence – we learn, improve and innovate constantly; Communication & Engagement – clarity, influence, and connection.

About the Role

Reporting to the Regional Head of Marketing, you will be the region’s executional and strategic lead for Palmer’s iconic Stretch Mark category. You will own the end‑to‑end category strategy, translating deep consumer insight and market opportunity into clear, multi‑year growth plans across Asia Pacific. This role partners closely with regional distributors, local sales teams and the global brand team to deliver strong in‑market execution and sustained category leadership.

We currently have a strong performer in this role who has recently relocated interstate and will soon transition into a local market position. While we’re sad to see them move on, this creates a unique opportunity for meaningful overlap, enabling a thorough, supportive handover and onboarding period designed to set the incoming candidate up for success.

Stretch Mark is one of Palmer’s most established and trusted categories globally, and Asia Pacific is a market of particular strength, consistently over‑indexing versus global product mix. The period ahead represents a significant and exciting phase for this category, with a strong pipeline of product updates, innovation launches and renewed communication focus. This role will build on the category’s solid foundation by leading the regional strategy, activation, launch execution and support strategy, ensuring new developments are landed with impact and seamlessly integrated into the total portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the annual category growth plan for Stretch across markets and customers.
  • Identify, prioritise, and size growth opportunities using consumer insights and market data.
  • Design and activate campaigns across all channels where creativity meets commercial impact.
  • Partner with sales and distributor teams to build customer‑centric category stories and plans.
  • Lead and manage NPD launches and market activations.
  • Monitor category P&L and performance, adjusting strategies as required.
Skills & Experience
  • 5–8 years in brand management, category development, or trade marketing.
  • Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
  • Deep understanding of consumer behaviour and insights.
  • Proven project management expertise, managing multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Experience in cross‑functional and (ideally) cross‑market collaboration.
  • Confident presenter to senior stakeholders and customers.
  • Ability to balance long‑term brand building with short‑term commercial goals.
KPIs / Measures of Success
  • Category sales and profit vs forecast.
  • Incremental growth from NPD.
  • Share of category in key account customers and markets.
  • Promotional ROI and profitability results.
  • Consumer/brand metrics.
Why You’ll Love This Role
  • Join Palmer’s at a pivotal growth moment, working in the dynamic, fast‑moving and fun beauty and skincare category with a brand riding strong consumer momentum.
  • Step into a rare, high‑impact regional marketing role with influence across Australia, New Zealand and South‑East Asia.
  • Gain broad, commercially rich exposure across multiple markets and categories, building deep strategic, consumer and executional expertise.
  • Be part of a close‑knit, collaborative, high‑performing team that genuinely supports one another, values contribution and celebrates shared success.
  • Work in an environment where people are invested in your growth, with mentorship, coaching and the opportunity to stretch into new areas as the business continues to expand.
Key Selection Criteria
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree (commerce, marketing, management, or related).
  • Brand, category, or trade marketing experience, with exposure to strategy, planning cycles and project management.
  • Commercial acumen including P&L management, profit, pricing, budget and portfolio oversight.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, research and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship‑building skills.
  • FMCG or Beauty/Personal‑Care industry experience.
  • Exposure to innovation and NPD.
  • Experience across Asia Pacific markets.
  • Familiarity with scan data, market research and customer account relationships.
