Wayflyer Australia is seeking a diligent AML professional to join the Sydney team on a 7-month fixed-term contract. You’ll be the go-to compliance partner for our Australian Sales group, providing real-time advice, clearing onboarding roadblocks during local hours, and ensuring speed and quality in the customer lifecycle.

Qualifications

1–2 years in AML or financial crime, ideally fintech.
Ability to work local hours in Sydney and provide real-time AML advice.
Experience with Customer Due Diligence and suspicious activity reporting.

Responsibilities

Act as compliance partner for Australian Sales, clearing onboarding roadblocks.
Investigate customers using internal systems and open-source intelligence.
Run Customer Due Diligence and review activity for red flags.
Support the MLRO in building and running AML framework across jurisdictions.
Handle filings including suspicious activity reports and maintain records.
Collaborate with Sales and Legal on contracts when needed.
