You will maintain industrial ammonia refrigeration systems, perform preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs to maximise plant uptime.

Applicants should hold a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade qualification; industrial refrigeration experience is highly regarded, though commercial or domestic backgrounds are

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance across refrigeration plant equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and conduct fault finding.
• Complete compressor servicing and overhauls.
• Carry out valve, pump and pipework maintenance.
• Identify and repair refrigerant leaks.
• Monitor plant performance, pressures and temperatures.
• Assist with shutdowns and plant improvement projects.
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime.
• Maintain high safety and compliance standards.

The Role As a Refrigeration Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining critical refrigeration infrastructure that supports plant operations. You'll be responsible for preventative maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding, repairs, and ongoing optimisation of refrigeration systems to ensure maximum reliability and uptime.

Equipment You'll Be Working On:

• Industrial ammonia refrigeration systems
• Ammonia compressors
• Evaporators and condensers
• Recirculation vessels
• Pumps and pump stations
• Ammonia pipework and valves
• Blast freezers
• Cold rooms and freezer rooms
• Chillers
• Defrost systems
• Refrigeration control systems and instrumentation

Key Responsibilities:
