Job summary

TOMRA Australia is hiring a Looper to join our team at the recycling centres. You will champion the Containers for Change program by delivering outstanding customer service, keeping the centre clean and safe, and ensuring machines and sorting equipment operate correctly.

You’ll be on the front line as the face of TOMRA in Australia, helping customers recycle and supporting a healthy, sustainable community. Some manual lifting and a forklift license (or willingness to obtain one) will be involved.

Qualifications

• Passion for recycling and the environment.
• Keen eye for detail and motivation to keep a clean and safe workspace.
• Safety champion; everyone deserves to return home safely.
• Face-to-face customer service experience.
• Physically fit; some manual lifting required.
• Forklift license or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure a great experience.
• Maintain a well-presented recycling centre in a safe, clean, and professional environment.
• Carry out regular cleaning and maintenance of reverse vending machines and sorting equipment.
• Ensure sorting equipment runs efficiently by emptying and replacing full bins.
• Monitor the centre for hazards and report concerns as they arise.
• Ad-hoc duties as required by management.
