Recruitment Director - Accounting, Finance & Risk

Position Overview

This key leadership role offers the opportunity to build and lead Troocoo’s Accounting, Finance and Risk portfolios within our Corporate Services division. You’ll shape strategy, grow market share, and deliver high-quality recruitment outcomes across all industry sectors.

Leadership & Strategy
  • Provide strategic direction, leadership and commercial oversight for the AFR practice.
  • Own portfolio growth: market positioning, client segmentation, service design and GTM.
  • Partner with senior leaders across Troocoo to drive cross-divisional opportunities and whole-of-business outcomes.
  • Contribute to enterprise planning and longer-term initiatives aligned to Troocoo’s vision.
Commercial & Financial Performance
  • Full accountability for quarterly and annual targets (revenue, GP, productivity).
  • Build a balanced book across permanent, contracting and search; ensure pricing discipline and margin protection.
  • Identify and capitalise on emerging market opportunities (FP&A, Commercial, Audit/Risk, Payroll/GL, Project/Transformation, CFO office).
Practice Development & Delivery
  • Set best-practice standards for job architecture, shortlisting cadence, candidate care and advisory.
  • Oversee delivery quality across senior appointments through to high-volume project needs.
  • Leverage data and insights to inform clients on talent availability, salary benchmarks and mobility trends.
People Leadership & Culture
  • Lead, coach and scale a high-performing team (consultants, candidate managers, contractors).
  • Embed clear capability frameworks, L&D pathways and performance rhythms.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture that rewards excellence and client impact.
Client & Market Engagement
  • Deepen relationships with enterprise clients and emerging growth brands.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to CFOs, Finance Directors and People Leaders.
  • Represent Troocoo at industry forums; produce thought leadership relevant to A&F.
Successful Candidate
  • Proven success in senior recruitment leadership within Accounting & Finance (search, permanent and/or contracting).
  • Track record of building/scaling a portfolio and achieving commercial targets.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and executive-level relationship management.
  • A collaborative leadership style that empowers people and drives enterprise growth.
  • Comfort with data-led decision making and contemporary recruitment tech.
