Job summary

The Department of Justice and Community Safety in Victoria is seeking a Recreation Officer to coordinate and deliver recreation programs for people in custody at Langi Kal Kal Prison in the Grampians. Qualifications

• Certificate III in Fitness or equivalent desirable.
• Experience supporting people who face barriers to participation.
• Experience coordinating sporting and recreation activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate varied sporting and recreation activities for people in custody.
• Provide clear coaching, instruction and training during recreation activities.
• Maintain safe recreation equipment and organise resources for activities.
• Prepare accurate reports and data about recreation services.
• Support safe prison operations through searches, patrols, directions and other security duties.
