Exciting growth is underway at Bupa Medical , and we’re building a new practice support team in Mackay.

We’re looking for experienced medical receptionists / practice support staff who thrive in fast-paced healthcare environments and love being the calm, welcoming face for patients when it matters most.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new service from day one, supporting clinicians and patients in an urgent care setting.

About the role
  • Be the first point of contact for patients, both in person and over the phone
  • Manage patient registrations, bookings and enquiries
  • Support smooth clinic operations in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Work closely with clinical teams to deliver a positive patient experience
  • Assist with administrative tasks to keep the practice running efficiently
About you
  • Previous experience in medical reception, practice support or healthcare administration
  • Confidence working in high-volume, time-sensitive environments
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • A calm, organised approach and ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Experience with clinical software systems (or willingness to learn)
