Job summary

Orchard Care Homes is recruiting a Care Assistant at Lofthouse Grange & Lodge in Wakefield. You will deliver personal care, assist residents with daily needs, and support activities and meals while maintaining dignity and respect.

The role is night-shift oriented, with both full- and part-time options available. You’ll work as part of a friendly care team, providing high-quality, person-centred support and reporting changes to the team.

Responsibilities

• Observing and reporting changes in residents’ wellbeing.

What You’ll Be Doing

Delivering personal care such as washing, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene

Supporting residents in meaningful activities, leisure outings, and appointments

Serving meals and refreshments with warmth and courtesy

Maintaining a clean, pleasant, and welcoming environment

Observing and reporting changes in residents’ physical or emotional wellbeing

Acting as a key worker for a group of residents, ensuring care is tailored to their individual preferences

Supporting new team members and contributing to a positive team culture
