Job summary

Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Healthcare & Therapy Assistant for the REACT service in East Suffolk and North Essex. The role involves one-to-one home visits, supporting daily living activities and reablement, under guidance from a multidisciplinary team.

You will travel across Ipswich and East Suffolk, hold a valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle, and may be offered Band 2 or Band 3 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months care experience for Band 2 (or equivalent) and at least 6 months NHS experience for Band 3.
• Accelerated NHS Care Certificate is required to progress to Band 3.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support with patients in home environments using a reablement approach.
• Assist with personal care and daily living activities (meals, mobility, medication administration).
• Travel across East Suffolk to reach patients; full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle required.
