Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking two OO4 Rangers for 12 months at Boodjamulla National Park (Aboriginal Land) in northwest Queensland. Based in Lawn Hill Gorge, these roles involve supporting asset, pest, and fire management projects and rehabilitating the environment.

Successful applicants will work with Waanyi and Indjalandji-Dhidhanu peoples, assist in planning and reporting, and meet reasonable on-ground operational requirements. Accommodation is provided at the Ranger Base.

Qualifications

  • Clear communication is essential.
  • Ability to supervise and work in a team or alone.
  • Adaptable to on-ground operational requirements.
  • Experience or involvement in asset, pest, and fire management projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and report on asset, pest, and fire management projects.
  • Assist in rehabilitation of the natural environment.
  • Provide information to park visitors and stakeholders.
  • Assist with emergency response.
  • Maintain records and procured goods and services.
  • Support First Nations interests and partnerships.
  • Develop and implement the annual works program.
