Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service is seeking a motivated Ranger for the Gold Coast area, joining a collaborative team to conserve and manage national and conservation parks. You will work with other rangers, contractors and stakeholders to protect environments and deliver community outcomes.

Desirable accreditations include chainsaw, first aid, firefighting, agricultural chemical distribution, and law enforcement.

Qualifications

• General ranger competencies and willingness to obtain listed accreditations.

Responsabilités

• Conserve and maintain national and conservation parks and reserves in Queensland.
• Collaborate with Rangers, contractors and stakeholders to deliver environmental and community outcomes.
• Contribute to land management, recreation and conservation objectives in the South East Queensland Region.

We work in partnerships with local communities and other stakeholders to contribute to the land management, recreational and conservation outcomes across the protected areas.

The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service has an exciting opportunity available for you to become part of a collaborative team helping to conserve and maintain the network of national and conservation parks on the Gold Coast.

As rangers within the South East Queensland Region you will work with other Rangers, contractors and a range of partners and stakeholders in delivering positive outcomes for the environment and community.

Whilst not mandatory, it is highly desirable that the successful applicant already holds one or more of the following accreditations and / or certificates. Training will be provided by the Department to the successful applicant in order to attain the required accreditations / certificates.

• Chainsaw operator's accreditation (Level 1 or 2 certificate).
• Senior First Aid certificate.
• Firefighting Operations (Fire Crew) Level 1 certificate.
• Unrestricted Agriculture Chemical Distribution Certificate.
• Departmental Law Enforcement accreditation (Level 1).
