You will provide field-based health and safety guidance, verify critical controls, review SWMS and risk assessments, and coordinate with supervisors, engineers and subcontractors to maintain safety standards in tunnel work.

Qualifikationen

• Previous experience as a Safety Advisor in Rail, Tunnels, Major Infrastructure.
• Experience reviewing SWMS, Risk Assessments and Critical Controls.
• Understanding of high risk areas and safety management.
• Strong safety influencing and leadership skills.

Aufgaben

• Provide field-based safety support in tunnels and work areas.
• Undertake regular inspections, observations and safety conversations.
• Monitor activities for compliance with safety controls.
• Identify unsafe conditions and implement corrective controls.
• Advise supervisors, engineers and subcontractors on safety.
• Ensure areas are established, secured and signed.
• Participate in pre-start meetings and toolbox talks.
• Intervene where immediate health or safety risk exists.
• Support Principal Contractor responsibilities and WHS Plan.
