Job summary

Workfast is seeking RIW Electricians to join the Sydney Metro rail corridor on weekend shutdowns. Trade-qualified electricians with NSW Electrical Licence and RIW accreditation will hit the ground running on site.

Ideal candidates will have rail or large infrastructure experience and be comfortable working in a high‑compliance environment. Base rate $58/hour + super + allowances + penalties; weekends paid at penalty rates; 12‑hour shifts, Saturday and Sunday; long‑term opportunities with

Qualifications

• RIW accreditation required.
• Electrical Licence NSW required.
• Current RIW card required.
• White Card required.
• Experience on infrastructure or rail projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installing and maintaining electrical systems on rail infrastructure.
• Cable pulling, termination, and conduit installation.
• Ensuring work complies with electrical and rail safety standards.
• Working from electrical schematics and construction plans.
• Liaising with site supervisors and other trades.

Rail Shutdown Electrician - Approx $2000 + per weekend

Workfast is looking for RIW Electricians to join the various Sydney Metro projects on the rail corridor for weekend Shutdowns.

We’re seeking trade-qualified electricians with current RIW accreditation who can hit the ground running on site.

Ideal candidates will have previous rail or large infrastructure experience and be comfortable working in a high-compliance environment.

What You Get

• $58/hour Base Rate + super + allowances + penalties
• Weekends will be paid at Penalty Rates, Time and a Half $87 and Double at $116
• 12 hour shifts, Saturday and Sunday

What You Need

• Electrical Licence (NSW)
• Current RIW card
• White Card
• Previous experience on infrastructure or rail projects
• Own hand tools and PPEAvailable for immediate start

What You Will Be Doing
