Job summary
ACCIONA is seeking a Senior Safety Advisor for the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project to embed a strong safety culture across offices and on-site operations. You will perform risk assessments, update prevention plans and monitor WHS compliance, collaborating with project teams and subcontractors to maintain safety standards.
You will investigate incidents, contribute to audit actions, and roll out safety protocols while working with site leadership to keep safety at the forefront of
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Nursing, Medicine, Law or Psychology.
- Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Risk Prevention (desirable).
- Experience in a similar safety or WHS role - minimum 3 years.
- Strong English communication skills and Office Suite proficiency.
- Working knowledge of WHS legislation and audit procedures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments across offices, depots and site areas
- Update prevention plans to reflect project-specific hazards
- Monitor compliance with WHS regulations across operations
- Investigate incidents and identify root causes
- Roll out corporate safety protocols across the project
- Support corrective actions from audits and reviews
- Run site safety inspections and verify control measures
