Job summary

CAF Rail Australia in Dubbo is seeking a Painter to perform paint work on rolling stock units within the Train Assembly Team. The role reports to the Team Leader at the Mindyarra Maintenance Centre and involves paint preparation, mixing paints, and finishing tasks to project specifications.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in painting or related roles.
• Experience painting rolling stock or industrial surfaces preferred.
• Ability to follow specifications and established procedures.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform surface preparation, sanding, masking, and touch up painting on rolling stock units.
• Mix and prepare paints and related materials per specifications.
• Record work and report safety hazards to supervisor.
• Take basic measurements such as film thickness, gloss, or adhesion when required.
• Maintain painting tools and equipment in good condition.
